This is a minimally complex procedure conducted in our fully equipped offices. Its primary goal is to enhance your pregnancy chances within a particular cycle by aligning a high sperm concentration in the fallopian tube with ovulation timing.
We recommend it if you experience:
- Mild to moderate semen quality alterations, such as asthenozoospermia or mild oligospermia.
- Ovulation disorders.
- Infertility of unknown origin.
- Uterine factor infertility caused by endometriosis, myomatosis, uterine polyps or ectopic pregnancy, among others.
- Cervical factor infertility.
- Difficulty or inability on the part of the male to deposit semen in vagina.
- Also if you want to be a single mother or have a partner of the same sex. In the latter case, sperm banking is required.
In vitro fertilization
This is a highly intricate assisted reproduction procedure designed to address advanced fertility issues, aiming to achieve your pregnancy goal. Its primary objective is to facilitate the union of eggs and sperm within a laboratory setting, resulting in embryos that can subsequently be implanted in the uterus.
To initiate this process, we stimulate follicular growth and egg maturation using oral, injected, or combined medications over an average period of 10 days. Our fertility specialist closely supervises this process, conducting follow-up ultrasounds as needed. In the laboratory, we extract and store the embryos for fertilization using your partner’s seminal sample. We carefully assess the number and quality of the embryos over the following days until they are ready for a straightforward uterine transfer, typically performed without anesthesia or hospitalization.
We recommend this procedure if you encounter any of the following situations:
- Significant decrease in the number and/or motility of spermatozoa or increase in sperm morphological alterations.
- Endometriosis
- Ovulation disorders.
- Low ovarian reserve.
- Failure of other treatments.
- Older age.
- Female surgical sterilization (pomeroy) and/or male surgical sterilization (vasectomy).
- Inheritable genetic diseases that require preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
Egg donation
Within our egg donation program, young women undergo ovarian stimulation treatment and selflessly contribute their eggs to individuals or couples in need of assistance in achieving pregnancy.
We recommend considering this option in the following situations:
- Primary ovarian failure due to a numerical or structural alteration of the chromosomes (Turner's Syndrome, Swyer's Syndrome).
- Resistant Ovarian Syndrome (Savage's Syndrome).
- Premature ovarian failure (menopause before age 40).
- Advanced ovarian age.
- Repeated failures in IVF.
- Patients who have had their ovaries removed for different reasons (tumors, severe endometriosis (grade III, or IV), cancer, chemotherapy).
